SOCOTEC Spain has held its National Convention under the motto "From global vision to action: growing together towards 2030", with the aim of consolidating a single operating platform in the TIC (Testing, Inspection & Certification) sector through the integration of its Engineering, Inspection, Testing, and Monitoring areas.

This strategic alignment allows for the optimization of the value proposition for its clients and provides a comprehensive response to the major megatrends in building and infrastructure, guaranteeing maximum safety, durability, and efficiency throughout the entire asset lifecycle.

In a constantly transforming technical and industrial environment, SOCOTEC Spain has held its National Convention under the motto "From global vision to action: growing together towards 2030." Following the consolidation of commercial synergies initiated in previous meetings, the company takes a firm step toward optimizing internal capabilities and continuously improving client services.

The event, led by Guillem Baraut (CEO of SOCOTEC Spain) and Hervé Montjotin (CEO of the SOCOTEC Group), served to align the strategic roadmap with market needs and guarantee comprehensive solutions throughout the entire asset lifecycle.

Cross-cutting solutions for critical assets

One of the central pillars of the convention was enhancing internal knowledge and fostering cross-selling and synergies between divisions (Engineering, Inspection, Testing, and Structural Monitoring). This cross-cutting integration allows SOCOTEC to offer clients a differentiating value proposition (USP), eliminating operational silos and streamlining the management of complex projects through a single trusted point of contact.

The evolution of SOCOTEC’s service portfolio directly responds to a building and infrastructure market driven by six major structural megatrends:

  • Asset resilience, aging, and monitoring: Advanced technical inspection and structural monitoring solutions to anticipate risks and extend the lifespan of existing buildings and infrastructure.

  • Major programs and cutting-edge infrastructure: Specialized support for megaprojects and critical assets, with a focus on the growth of Data Centers and logistics hubs.

  • Smart buildings and comprehensive security: Integration of physical security and cybersecurity controls for future building developments.

  • Energy transition and power grids: Specialized technical support in electrification, grid infrastructure, and the nuclear sector.

  • Decarbonization, energy efficiency, and circular economy: Consulting and verification services to reduce environmental impact in construction.

  • Environmental and climate sustainability: Climate resilience assessments, decontamination of air, water, and soil, and marine biodiversity protection.

Innovation, efficiency, and customer experience focus: the levers of added value

During the sessions, the business unit leaders—such as Jordi Rosich (Managing Director of Engineering) and Abel Domato (Managing Director of Geotechnics, Monitoring, Testing, and Inspections)—demonstrated how process digitalization, data collection automation, and operational efficiency directly translate into a more agile, precise, and transparent customer experience.

This operational rollout highlighted how optimizing internal processes leads to immediate improvements in service quality and speed. In the segment dedicated to business levers, Begoña de Urrutia (Chief Financial Officer) addressed efficient management from invoicing to collection to ensure a smooth and rigorous commercial relationship. Next, Jordi Roig (Human Resources Director) emphasized talent, leadership, and occupational safety as essential pillars to guarantee excellence in every intervention.

For his part, Damià Muñoz (IT Director) presented advancements in tool digitalization to optimize data capture and reduce response times, while Amparo Edo (Management Systems Director) highlighted the value of standardized management systems to ensure regulatory compliance in every deliverable. Closing this block, Nuria Corominas-Rovira (Marketing and Communication Director) explained how brand strategy, communication, and marketing strengthen the group's market positioning and improve alignment with market needs.

In terms of internal collaboration, Loli Sevillano (Civil Works Production Director) analyzed communication dynamics across teams to eliminate operational silos and deliver cross-functional support. Following this, Antonio Sánchez (Building Director) placed customer orientation at the core of the strategy, detailing how SOCOTEC’s differentiation lies in adding value at every project stage. Finally, Xavi Gallart (COO of Geotechnics, Monitoring, Testing, and Inspections) presented efficiency solutions aimed at streamlining processes and resolving bottlenecks to maximize operational agility.

With this unified strategic vision, SOCOTEC reaffirms its commitment to continuously evolve alongside its clients, transforming technical innovation and internal efficiency into comprehensive solutions that ensure the safety, durability, and sustainability of their assets.
