SOCOTEC achieves historic 20% growth and consolidates its leadership in Green Durability validated by the SBTi (Science Based Targets initiative)
The Group reaches record revenue of €1.767 billion and secures official backing for its decarbonization roadmap.
SOCOTEC has presented its new Sustainability Report for the 2025 financial year. In a complex global environment marked by geopolitical tensions and the rise in extreme weather events across Europe and the Americas, the company consolidates its position as the international leader in building and infrastructure durability.
Thus, the SOCOTEC Group reaffirms its key role as a global testing, inspection, and engineering solutions provider for construction and infrastructure—a strategic partner in successfully navigating the energy, digital, and ecological transitions across the construction and real estate sectors.
This environmental strategy is validated by the SBTi (Science Based Targets initiative), a global partnership that assesses and approves corporate emission-reduction plans to ensure they align with climate science and the Paris Agreement goals to limit global warming.

Strategic Momentum in the Spanish Market
As part of the expansion strategy that added 14 global acquisitions in 2025, the report highlights the integration of Intercontrol in Spain in March of that same year.
This integration not only expands SOCOTEC’s footprint across the national territory, but also strengthens our technical and human capacity to advise developers, clients, and public administrations on their most complex projects.
Key Progress in Sustainability and Climate Action
Under ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) criteria, the organization has placed sustainability at the core of its strategy, achieving key milestones for the Group:
- •SBTi scientific validation: In April 2026, the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) formally validated SOCOTEC’s near-term decarbonization trajectory. This validation confirms that the Group’s emission-reduction plans comply with the goals of the Paris Agreement.
- Transparency under the CSRD directive: Anticipating regulatory requirements, the Group voluntarily prepared this report in accordance with the European CSRD directive and GRI standards, based on a double materiality analysis.
- “Green Trust” solutions and taxonomy:With a global workforce of more than 15,000 professionals, the SOCOTEC Group helps its clients mitigate their carbon footprint through its “Green Trust” services. Since 2022, revenue associated with these sustainability solutions has been verified under European Taxonomy criteria.
