What are pre-construction audits?

Pre-construction audits are technical and environmental assessments carried out before starting a demolition or rehabilitation work. Its objective is to analyse the design and feasibility of the project to optimise energy efficiency, minimise environmental impact, promote the circular economy through the recovery of materials, and draw up strategies aimed at obtaining sustainable certifications (such as BREEAM or LEED).

Unlike traditional demolition plans, these audits go further: they identify opportunities for the reuse of materials, reduce waste generation and contribute to a more sustainable, profitable and responsible management of construction projects.
