Applications of Laser Scanning

Each application is designed to provide highly accurate data that is transformed into valuable decision-making insights. Whether it's generating complete BIM models, creating permanent photo records, developing digital twins, or implementing predictive monitoring systems, our Laser Scanner adapts to the specific needs of each project, ensuring reliable and actionable results.

Point cloud studies  are captured using laser scanners to collect large amounts of detailed information quickly and accurately. This information is used to generate BIM models  of the building or structure being analyzed, containing detail points of all structures in a 360-degree view.

Our laser scanners are equipped with high-definition cameras that capture high-resolution images of every scan. These images create a permanent record of the structure and condition of the building, and can be used to colour the point cloud and prepare virtual tours.

3D models provide accurate digital representations that facilitate visualization and allow virtual modifications to be made to assess their visual and structural impact. They can be interpreted to be applied to BIM and generate digital twins.

If a point cloud is taken (either with laser scanner or photometry) of the same scene in different temporal models, artificial intelligence routines allow the detection of changes, such as:

  • Geometric changes, some of the elements have changed or been deformed over time
  • Appearance of pathologies.
