The internal SOCOTEC Spain conference was held in Barcelona, bringing together over 60 experts from all our international platforms, including the USA, the UK, Vietnam, Italy, France, the Netherlands, Germany, and the Middle East.
The main objective of these annual sessions is to share SOCOTEC's global vision and foster the exchange of knowledge and innovation.
This input is key to developing our Trust & Tech engineering services, which focus on applying technology to make our solutions more efficient.

SOCOTEC's ESCENTIAL and BlueGen
Teresa Cano - Health & Safety Director
ESCENTIAL is a comprehensive cloud-based platform for real-time site safety management and monitoring, guaranteeing total control and accessibility.
The combination with BlueGen optimizes operational efficiency (by automating processes and reducing administrative tasks by up to 50% and data processing time by up to 70%). Together, they offer complete digital management, spanning from client registration to document analysis. They ensure 24/365 information availability, team work standardization, advanced documentation, and adaptable support.
Structural design and BIM management
Inma Fortea and Lluís Guixé - Building BIM managers
The presentation focused on SOCOTEC's expertise in Structural Design and BIM Management.
This work ranges from the coordination of designs (structures, installations, and architecture) and structural analysis, to the creation of customized tools for task automation.
To illustrate their methodology for BIM implementation and discipline coordination, key projects were showcased, such as the UCLM Campus, the British School in Gavà, and the renovation of the Arts Hotel, as well as the ambitious NEOM – SKI VILLAGE project in Saudi Arabia.
Geotechnics: for safe and smart solutions
Laia Casas - Geologist
Our Geotechnics service has a dual purpose: to study the ground behavior in order to provide guidance for designing safe and efficient solutions in any civil work. A geotechnical study is key to anticipating problems and optimizing the design.
This expertise was demonstrated in projects such as the Port of Barcelona and major sports complexes in Barcelona, where rigorous ground analyses (using boreholes, SPT, and CPTu tests) are fundamental to the success of their execution.
