SOCOTEC promotes the circular economy by donating office furniture to social entities.
To mark its move to new offices in Barcelona, SOCOTEC has carried out the donation of 136 furniture items through the "Pont Solidari" program.
The action, coordinated with four local social entities – Associació Colors de Ponent, Asociación El Rincón de la Familia, Fundació NEPP, and Fundació Osas – will allow these organizations to reuse the material to continue their valuable work in the community.

- 34 tables
- 33 cabinets
- 28 chairs
- 14 kitchen stools
We are avoiding tons of CO₂ and millions of liters of water.
Recycling with impact
"This recycling initiative has generated a notable environmental impact, preventing the emission of 3,591 kg of CO₂eq and the consumption of 5,813,957 liters of water. This is equivalent to taking 592 cars off the road for a day and saving the water of 29,069 ten-minute showers."

The furniture handover was completed on April 30th thanks to the valuable support of four logistics volunteers from Banc de Recursos, who ensured a quick and efficient collection.
