SOCOTEC held its Safety Week 2025 from October 13 to 17, the annual corporate-level initiative to reinforce the safety culture and move towards efficiency in all activities.
Under the premise that "safety is our choice," the week focused on deepening knowledge and practice of prevention through an intensive and practical agenda.
The activities were designed to impact four essential areas: Road Safety Prevention, Specific Risks, Emergencies, and Proactive Culture.
Comprehensive Training for an Immediate and Safe Response
SOCOTEC's Safety Week 2025 offered an essential and practical training program designed to improve the team's immediate response capability to any incident, covering both emergency situations in the workplace and road risk prevention, a crucial aspect given the company's activities.

Safe and Efficient Driving Course
SOCOTEC teams had the opportunity to participate in an intensive and practical training course provided by the RACC Advanced Driving Center at their specialized facilities in Moraleja de Enmedio (South Madrid) and the Montmeló Circuit (Barcelona).
The course focused on improving reaction skills, control in critical situations (such as low grip), and perfecting emergency braking and advanced handling techniques.

Testimonial Talk from the Guttmann Institute
As part of their "Game Over" program, Mario Ribera and Carol Mendoza from the Guttmann Institute offered a moving, real-life personal testimony about the irreversible consequences of traffic accidents.
The goal was to directly raise awareness about the impact of imprudent driving and to foster deep reflection that encourages a shift toward more responsible mobility.

First Aid Training
An essential theoretical-practical course to train the team in key skills (such as CPR, managing choking, and controlling hemorrhages) with a threefold objective: preserving life, preventing the worsening of the injury, and maintaining calm until the arrival of professional assistance.

Fire Training and Drills
Training for fire prevention, detection, and initial response. Topics included identifying specific risks, the practical handling of extinguishers, and conducting Fire Drills to ensure safe evacuation and a coordinated response during the critical first minutes.

TOP Safety
Proactive Culture
During the event, safety was highlighted as a fundamental and non-negotiable value in the DNA of #SOCOTEC. The session included an address by Hervé Montjotin, who underscored how the #SafetyWeek strengthens the corporate culture, enabling the sharing of best practices and the review of principles that protect the team in their daily activities. This commitment to safety is one of our fundamental pillars and is directly reflected in the services we offer.
SOCOTEC's Health & Safety services ensure that site operations comply with the highest safety standards.
Our main focus is to promote the idea in the construction sector that prevention is an enabler of production, not an impediment.
Furthermore, our Health & Safety team has firsthand knowledge of the challenges faced by developers, construction companies, and subcontractors, and adapts its services to provide safety at all levels:
Safety and Health Coordination
Technical Assistance in Occupational Risk Prevention
CAE Document Control (CAE stands for Coordinación de Actividades Empresariales or Coordination of Business Activities, a specific regulatory requirement in Spain)
Custom Safety and Health Training
