SOCOTEC has been recognized with the prestigious Efficient Fleet Management Award, granted by the Spanish Association of Fleet Managers (AEGFA)
The award underscores SOCOTEC's commitment to sustainability and digitalization in a context of strong expansion in Spain. Thanks to the implementation of telematics technology, the company has achieved an immediate and measurable reduction in its logistics operations

A central pillar in the strategy
Sustainability
The recognition from AEGFA validates SOCOTEC's strategy, which integrates sustainability both in the engineering projects it advises—through services such as GREEN TRUST—and in its own internal management. With a fleet in Spain of 250 vehicles (and 80 recent new units), efficient management is crucial for the company, which aims to reduce its CO2 emissions by 30% before 2030.
"We believe that offering sustainability services is not an extra, but an obligation. Our commitment must be reflected in everything we do, including the management of our own fleet."
Cristina Alcaraz, Procurement Manager at SOCOTEC

Digitalization and Efficiency: The Key to Success
SOCOTEC's rapid growth in Spain, with more than 700 employees in the country, drove the need to abandon manual fleet management (via Excel spreadsheets) and adopt a robust system. The company chose Webfleet for maintenance administration, fuel consumption control, and route optimization.
The implementation has included:
Installation of LINK devices to obtain real-time telematics data.
Use of OptiDrive 360 to monitor and improve driving style.
Reinforcement of training with efficient driving courses provided by the RACC.
Upcoming launch of a gamification program to reward the most responsible drivers.
"Just by knowing where each vehicle is, when it is due for maintenance, or when it needs to pass the ITV [technical inspection], our work has become much more agile and error-free. The improvement was immediate: it has been a hundred percent success."
Desirée Ortega, SOCOTEC Fleet Manager
Recognition That Drives the Future
The project's success is based not only on data but also on responsible privacy management and high internal acceptance. Following informative sessions about the objectives of safety, efficiency, and emissions reduction, the workers themselves became involved in installing some of the devices, which reinforced adherence to the change.
"This recognition encourages us to continue growing with a sustainable model, based on data and oriented towards efficiency. Fleet management is a reflection of our vision as a company: to construct, maintain, and transform infrastructure responsibly," concludes Cristina Alcaraz.
The SOCOTEC Commitment to Sustainability
In short, the AEGFA recognition is much more than an award for logistical efficiency; it is a validation of SOCOTEC's comprehensive sustainability vision. By achieving a $29\%$ reduction in fuel consumption and a $30\%$ reduction in $\text{CO}_2$ emissions from our fleet, we demonstrate that sustainability is not an external goal, but a fundamental pillar of our internal management.
At SOCOTEC, we are firmly committed to a growth model based on digitalization, innovation, and corporate responsibility, reflecting in every mile traveled our commitment to construct, maintain, and transform the environment efficiently and respectfully.
