SOCOTEC, protagonist in the Congress of Advanced Architecture and Construction 4.0
SOCOTEC's participation in REBUILD 2024 was not limited to the SOCOTEC Theatre. The company also had a prominent presence at the Congress of Advanced Architecture and Construction 4.0, where it participated as a moderator and speaker in various round tables.
Antonio Sánchez Gea, General Manager of SOCOTEC Spain, spoke at the session "Success Stories of Engineering with Circular Strategies". In it, he highlighted the importance of industrialization and the need for high-quality detailed engineering for the success of industrialized construction, as in the case of the Plan Vive.
In memory of Agustí Obiol, pioneer of structural consulting
SOCOTEC wanted to pay tribute to the figure of Agustí Obiol, a visionary architect who integrated structural engineering and architecture, leaving an indelible legacy in the sector.
The heartfelt words of Lara Pellegrini, Benedetta Tagliabue, and Martha Thorne at the REBUILD session recalled the figure of Obiol. They highlighted his exceptional ability to conceive engineering as an integral part of architectural expression.
