SOCOTEC is managing the works for the new Anglès bypass project which should be opened next summer.
On Monday 26 September, the BAC team, including Francesc Sales, David Martínez, Roger Gonzales, and Jordi Rosich, was present for the digging of the tunnel for the Anglès bypass, accompanied by Jordi Puigneró, Vice-President and Minister for Digital Policies and Territory with the Catalan Government, David Prat, General Director for Infrastructure and Mobility with the Catalan Government, Miquel Buch, and the Mayor of Anglès, Jordi Pibernat.
The new tunnel is 485 metres long and is part of the new 1.6-km bypass that intends to relieve traffic in the urban centre of Anglès, which should improve quality of life for residents. The new route is expected to take around 5000 cars off the main roads every day.
