SINGULAR INFRASTRUCTURES

Steel and concrete urban forest

The construction consists of metal structures inspired by trees with large glass panels for an overview of the whole. The transparent and diaphanous spaces provide an in&out feeling at the different levels of the station.

The exterior of the Valdebebas Station is built as an extension of the interior, with multiple rest areas with aggregate tiles and micromarbles, and gardens that provide color and act as a transition between the street and the forest area.

The Community of Madrid stresses that this new public service will contribute to promoting the use of public transport and reducing the carbon footprint, which reflects our commitment to sustainable mobility.

This construction is intended to centralize the courts, which are currently dispersed and give new transport options to the city of Valdebebas, a growing population of the community of Madrid. This project aims to accommodate thousands of users a day, so the accessibility and comfort of public spaces has been prioritized.
