Regulatory Context of the RD on CAE
- Summary: The Energy Savings Certificate (EAC) system was born from Royal Decree 36/2023, aligned with European Directive 2012/27/EU to promote energy efficiency. This marketplace allows energy savings to be monetized, supporting the EU's 2030 climate goals.
- Objective: To reach 53,593 ktoe saved in Spain by 2030, promoting the transition to a decarbonised economy.
