The new headquarters of Prodesa Biomass Group in the Recycling Technology Park (PTR) of Zaragoza is not just a building. It is a strategic project that merges architecture, technology and energy efficiency to boost the growth of one of the leading companies in the biomass sector at an international level.
With more than 10,000 m² built and an investment of more than 10 million euros, this headquarters has been conceived as an innovative, open and flexible workspace, capable of housing more than 200 employees. The design, developed by Serrano Arquitectura, seeks to enhance communication between teams and improve production processes.
SOCOTEC has been responsible for the drafting of the project and construction management of facilities, guaranteeing efficient, safe technical solutions adapted to the company's sustainable approach.

In this project, the SOCOTEC team has developed a comprehensive work that ranges from the drafting of installation projects, to the construction management of facilities, also providing the necessary support to obtain the Activity License.

In particular, the medium-voltage power supply has required meticulous planning, customised solutions and constant coordination with all the teams involved.
From air conditioning to energy control systems, from efficient lighting to the design of the voice and data network, SOCOTEC has coordinated all phases of construction management, ensuring both technical feasibility and compliance with the highest standards of quality and efficiency.

Prodesa's new headquarters not only centralises its activity, it also symbolises its commitment to sustainability, talent and innovation. Sustainable materials, passive design strategies and a functional architecture designed for the comfort of the user, have been key in this project.
The northwest façade, with its recessed volumes, reduces energy consumption by avoiding overheating. Common areas such as the terrace or rest areas are designed to improve the well-being of the team. This approach has led Prodesa's headquarters to be selected for the 2025 Architecture Awards, a recognition that underlines the quality and innovation of the project.
