SOCOTEC has accompanied the President of the Generalitat on the visit to the irrigation modernization works of the Conca de Tremp

SOCOTEC has participated in the institutional visit of the President of the Generalitat de Catalunya, Salvador Illa, to the expansion and modernization works of the irrigation system of the Conca de Tremp, a strategic project for the modernization of the hydraulic infrastructures of the Pallars Jussà region.

The works are progressing according to the planned schedule in the Lleida municipalities of Tremp and Talarn, with the first phase of the infrastructure expected to be completed by the end of 2026.

Currently, the works are focused on the burying of 2.5 kilometers of the main transport pipeline, in the vicinity of the Noguera Pallaresa river. This action is an essential preliminary step for the execution of the secondary networks that, in subsequent phases, will carry water directly to the farms.

The project is being developed by SOCOTEC's technical team, in a joint venture with Gloman, made up of Roberto Cavaglia, Marta Subirana, Blanca Bevià and Lluc Ferré, responsible for the construction management and monitoring of the work on the ground, ensuring compliance with the deadlines, quality and technical requirements of the action.

"The crossing of the Noguera Pallaresa river and the passage under the bridge of the C-1412b represent unique works that require very precise technical planning. We are coordinating all aspects of the execution to ensure that these infrastructures meet the highest standards of quality and sustainability, and contribute effectively to the modernization of the agricultural sector of the region"

Roberto Cavaglia, Site Manager at SOCOTEC

The modernisation of the irrigation system of the Conca de Tremp will optimise water management in approximately 4,500 hectares, increase the efficiency of agricultural holdings and strengthen the sustainability of the territory, contributing to the economic development and resilience of the agri-food sector in the area.

With its participation in the construction management, SOCOTEC reaffirms its commitment to the development of sustainable infrastructures of high technical value, contributing its experience in the supervision and management of projects that promote the transformation of the territory and improve people's quality of life.
