The first phase of the redevelopment of Gran Vía de les Corts Catalanes in Barcelona has been completed.
The SOCOTEC Civil Works team was in charge of the construction management for this stage, which aimed to transform a traffic-dominated section above the tunnels, between Badajoz street and Poblenou avenue, into a new, sustainable urban space.

"The technical management included designing for efficient water cycle management and creating a new urban ecosystem with shaded areas and shrubs to make the city a more pleasant environment."
SOCOTEC's construction management ensured that the design of the new promenade—with its wide-open spaces, seating areas, and playgrounds—was executed according to established technical and quality standards.
